Behind the scenes of the BioVal integration workshop
Last week, FRoSTA opened its doors in Hamburg for our latest BioVal integration workshop. The entire project consortium from science and practice came together to discuss progress since October 2023. We analyzed the planning process, identified changes and gained an insight into the current status of our practical tests of the BVI dashboard. The results of our conjoint analysis presented to us by the Center for Technology and Society (ZTG) at TU Berlin were particularly interesting. Together with our real-life laboratory companies, we discussed the resulting opportunities, particularly with regard to target groups and willingness to pay.
Another focus was the design of our biodiversity management handbook. The ZNU – Center for Sustainable Leadership provided comprehensive insights into the content, layout and the next steps. In addition, the University Augsburg presented the latest developments in the BVI method, particularly in the area of marine biodiversity and the management of diffuse effects.
The BioVal project is now nearing its conclusion. We are planning a results conference on September 24, 2024 in Berlin to celebrate our successful collaboration and the results achieved. Save the date today! The registration form will be online soon. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can already register by emailing znu@uni-wh.de.
