In October, we had the great pleasure of visiting Ritter Sport in Waldenbuch and gaining an in-depth insight into the fascinating world of chocolate. Together with our partners – the ZTG of the Technical University of Berlin, the University of Augsburg, FRoSTA AG, Seeberger, Ritter Sport and the ZNU – we form the project team for the BMBF-funded BioVal project.
Integration workshop and research exchange:
As part of our annual integration workshop, we not only highlighted the current state of research and the real-world laboratories, but also worked intensively on sustainable solutions. The two days together not only enabled the integration of results from the research and practical perspectives, but also provided insights into the host’s sustainability measures.
Culinary highlight with chocolate creation:
One of the highlights of the workshop was the culinary experience of Ritter Sport’s sustainable canteen and the unique opportunity to make our own chocolate creations! A sweet and sustainable excursion into the world of chocolate.
What do we take with us for the further project design?
- Updated project roadmap
- Goals and effects in the living lab companies
- Insights into the accompanying research
- Initial results on the communication of biodiversity
- Insights on the Biodiversity Management Handbook
- Practical application of the BVI method (biodiversity footprint)
Sustainability should be in all four corners – together we are shaping a sustainable future!
