Designing the transformation process together – What does feasible and measurable sustainability look like? Around 120 participants from politics, companies and NGOs discussed the topic „Gemeinsam den Transformationsprozess gestalten: Wie sieht machbare und messbare Nachhaltigkeit aus?“. With the Green Deal 2030 and the political goal of climate neutrality by 2050, Europe has committed to implementing sustainability measures. How this transformation can succeed was discussed very lively by the participants at the KOMED Media Park, Cologne at the ZNU Future Conference, to which the ZNU – Center for Sustainable Management of the University of Witten/Herdecke (UW/H) had invited.
Within the framework of the event four parallel workshops were held on topics including the promotion of biodiversity among others. The participants received a comprehensive insight into the BioVal project from Dr. Ulrike Eberle, Julius Wenzig and Charlott Hübel (ZNU) and impulses from companies on their biodiversity activities from Jan von Enden and Andrea Rommeler (Martin Bauer Group). The workshop was rounded off with thematically oriented discussion stations to exchange ideas on activities, measures, communication possibilities and approaches to solutions around the topic of biodiversity.
